Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Soundcards is built with transparency in mind. We believe your music tastes shouldn't be sold or weaponized. Here is exactly what data we process and how it stays safe. Soundcards is operated by Hoop Interactive.

Data we collect

We only store your display name, selected avatar, and basic account identifiers required to keep you signed in (via Google, Apple, email, or a guest session). If you link a streaming platform, we only fetch the specific tracks you query during active gameplay. We do not collect your contacts, location, or browsing history.

Spotify, SoundCloud & Apple Music

Soundcards uses official partner APIs to search and play audio. We do not maintain historical logs of the music you play outside of the active session's scope, and we never post to your streaming accounts.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to run the app: Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, and push notifications) and RevenueCat together with the App Store / Google Play for subscription purchases. Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your card details.

How your data is protected

Your data is transmitted over secure SSL encryption and housed on industry-standard server infrastructure. You may request full deletion of your account and metadata at any time from the app settings, or by emailing us. Guest sessions store no personal profile at all.

Account & data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, in either of two ways:

  • In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm.
  • By email: write to romone@soundcardsgame.com from your account's email with the subject "Delete my account".

We permanently remove your profile, stats, soundcards, and account metadata within 30 days. Limited records may be kept only where required by law. Guest sessions store no account data and are cleared on sign-out.

Children's privacy & safety

Soundcards is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their personal data. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Such content or conduct is strictly prohibited and results in immediate removal, an account ban, and reporting to the appropriate authorities (including NCMEC where applicable). To report a child-safety concern or any user, contact our safety point of contact at romone@soundcardsgame.com — we review reports promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights & data retention

As a UK-based service, we process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to data portability — exercise any of these from the app or by emailing us. We retain your data only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service; once you delete your account, we remove it as described above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Questions about your privacy? Email us at romone@soundcardsgame.com.
